On 25 April 2024, Columbia Global Freedom of Expression hosted a ceremony for their biannual awards. The Johannesburg High Court’s judgment in our case against the Moti Group – Mazetti Management Services v AmaBhungane – was awarded the ‘significant legal ruling’ for 2022 and 2023. As Columbia Global Freedom of Expression described it, these awards recognise ‘remarkable contributions to the advancement of freedom of expression worldwide’.
