Susan has spent the past 15 years working as an investigative journalist, first with Carte Blanche and then City Press, before jumping at the chance to join amaBhungane in 2016. Her investigations have covered state capture, corruption, mining, energy, and the environment, and have won numerous awards including the Taco Kuiper Award for Investigative Journalism, the Sanlam Financial Journalist of the Year, and the Vodacom Journalist of the Year. Susan was part of the team that exposed the #GuptaLeaks. She currently lives in Cape Town.
